xml-coreutils (GPL 3 or higher)
The GNU coreutils are a collection of basic system utilities which
make the shell a powerful interactive system for text processing, and
represent decades of accumulated wisdom. However, the
recent trend of using XML documents for everything under the sun is posing
a challenge for current shells, because the tree oriented nature is not
easily manipulated by these classic line oriented tools.
The aim of xml-coreutils is to retrofit a natural XML processing capability
on existing shells, which can coexist and interact seamlessly with the classical tools. Find out more by reading this:
